Monster Hunter Stories is an RPG that takes the world of Monster Hunter and expands it in exciting new ways! You are no longer hunting monsters, but caring for them! In this deep story with heroes known as Monster Riders, you will live alongside monsters and form lasting bonds with them.

The first part of the Monster Hunter Stories series returns, fully dubbed in Japanese and English, with additional features, such as a new museum mode where you can listen to music and see conceptual art, allowing you to dive even deeper into the world of Monster Hunter Stories.

Story:

As the hero of the story, you were born in a village of Riders who make a living by raising monsters. You will overcome trials and tribulations as you grow as a Rider and leave your village to embark on an adventure. Your destination: the world of Hunters, who make a living by hunting monsters. Although your lifestyles are very different, you must learn to live and work alongside the Hunters and, in turn, bring the world of Hunters and Riders even closer together.

Things take a dark turn when a calamity known as the Dark Miasma appears, threatening the entire world and destroying peaceful lives that were once taken for granted... Both Riders and Hunters will be put to the test to challenge this threat.

The keys to saving the world are the Affinity Stone and its hidden power, along with the truth of the "Legend of Redan", describing the long-hidden secret of the origins of the Riders! Throughout your epic journey, you will discover the true meaning of Affinity, which grows as your bonds deepen!
