The Inquisitor is a dark fantasy adventure game with action elements that makes you face difficult moral choices. The game takes place in an alternative version of (religious) reality. Inspired by the “Inquisitor” book series by Jacek Piekara. Nailed to the cross and close to death, Jesus was consumed by absolute fury. He breaks free and takes violent revenge on all unbelievers. Centuries have passed and now an army of fanatical inquisitors impose faith by force in a church bathed in blood.

You are Mordimer Madderdin, an inquisitor in the service of God, sent to the city of Koenigstein. infested with mysteries and sins. Solve different cases and crimes against faith while uncovering the truth about a dark evil from another kingdom that tries to enter the world of the living.

• Enlightened Investigation: Mordimer has unique skills and talents that allow him to uncover Koenigstein's crimes and mysteries. Find and interrogate suspects. Discover hidden truths about the city and its inhabitants. Gather the evidence and make your final judgment.
• Dive into the Intraworld: Unbeknownst to those around him, Mordimer is able to enter the mysterious Intraworld. There, he is able to discover deep secrets that the suspects try to hide in their souls. But there is a great risk when venturing into this world and the dark force that reigns there will do everything to destroy the invaders.
• Persuasive Interrogations: The 1500s is an era of cruel justice. As an inquisitor, you are free to use whatever methods and tools you deem necessary to persuade your suspects to reveal the “truth.” These optional interrogations date back to the times of the real Inquisition and it is up to you to decide whether and how you will apply them in your investigation.
• The Sword Dialogue: Sometimes you just need to cut a tongue in the right place for it to come loose. A sword combat system means that different cases will allow or require the use of brute force. Master your sword, find loopholes and use your enemies' weaknesses against them.
