Vertical Kingdom takes place in a world devastated by a war that lasted an entire generation. The once great Empire lies in ruins, and it is up to the Grand Architect to rebuild it towards its former glory, brick by brick. Travel the land, embark on roguelite-style random expeditions, and build new cities with a new card-based construction system combined with a complex resource economy.

Highlights

• Build imposing cities using a card-based system. Choose five decks each turn and play the cards to build upward. Manage resources like food, water, bricks, wood, stone, and metal, all necessary to ensure the city has room to grow and play new cards.
• As the Grand Architect, your job is to rebuild the Empire, one construction and region at a time. Undertake grand expeditions to erect new cities in the name of the emperor and face the challenges of each region: Treacherous terrain, resource scarcity, and ever-limited building space.
• Take control of all decisions and all cards played, as all constructions are permanent, with no second chances. Plan and create synergies with the houses and workshops of imperial citizens. Produce more taxes, resources, and maintain loyalty to the Empire - and, who knows, the local inhabitants may help with the great evil lurking among the ruins...
