Shadwen, an assassin on a mission to kill the king, has an unexpected encounter with an orphaned girl, Lily. She follows Shadwen on her dangerous journey, but when the ruthless guards come too close, Shadwen must act right in front of Lily's eyes.

Will Shadwen risk the budding trust of the girl by resorting to violence, or will she try to find another way while keeping her true purpose hidden?
