DayZ

DayZ

About

DayZ is an extreme survival game in an open world with one rule: stay alive at any cost. With a multitude of threats lurking around every corner, it's easier said than done... There are no map markers, daily missions, or scoreboards to help shape your story. There's only Chernarus: 230 km² of a post-Soviet country affected by an unknown virus that has turned most of its population into furious infected. Your mission? Survive the collapse of civilization for as long as possible. Remember, death is permanent in the cruel Chernarus. All you have when starting over are the memories of your last mistake.

Greetings, survivors!

Prepare for May 27th, when Update Redux 1.25 will bring an ambitious transformation, merging DayZ with the Livonia DLC into a unified and enriched gameplay adventure.

Update 1.25: This update is a crucial moment for DayZ, combining the base game and the Livonia DLC:

  • As of now, Livonia will no longer be offered as a separate purchase. Instead, all current owners of the DayZ base game will automatically receive the Livonia DLC at no additional costs.

Soundtrack Gift: Our appreciation for our players knows no bounds:

  • As a special bonus, everyone who owns DayZ and Livonia prior to the update will receive the official soundtrack. Let the immersive survival melodies accompany your journey.

⚠️Note: It may take up to 24 hours for the soundtrack to appear in the Steam library

Highlights

  • Find more players: Up to 60 people are struggling to survive at all costs at all times. Make friends, eliminate on sight, build a base or risk betrayal in exchange for a can of tasty beans. Use VOIP to interact with other players as you prefer. Every encounter is meaningful when your life is on the line. But watch out. Stay alert. Trust no one.
  • Surviving Chernorussia: It's not just about worrying about the infected, there's also wildlife and the elements of nature. Avoid packs of angry wolves and bears, find shelter from the punishing rain and seek light in the dark of night. You'll also have to master complex survival mechanics regarding hunger, thirst, body temperature, and more.
  • Rack up loot: Always have your gear ready. Mend damaged clothing, craft improvised items, and brave ghost-like towns in search of valuable resources. Fix a car and hide it in your secret base under the protection of well-placed traps. Enter contaminated zones if you dare, and keep your eyes peeled for precious loot. Don't forget you won't get very far without a full hazmat suit and a gas mask.
  • Your turn to fire: Intense PvP combat can occur at any time, especially in critical locations such as abandoned military bases, where frantic exchanges of fire are frequent. Some survivors want their loot, while others hunt for sport. There are also those who fear that you will shoot first. Learn to defend yourself and know how to evaluate the right moment to swallow your pride and run away. One bullet can make all the difference. Always watch your rear.
  • Install mods: Go to the Steam Workshop and find a custom server for you. Join a community of like-minded players and modify your DayZ experience however you like. Browse thousands of fan-created resources, maps and weapons. All of them can be managed easily through the game's Launcher.
