Dungeons 4
About
Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away where everything was green and prosperous. Unicorns lived among the trees, and elves and humans lived peacefully in harmony with their surroundings. Yet, on the edge of a clearing hidden among the trees, obscured by a growing veil of mist, in the mists of darkness of a weather-beaten cabin, a shape approaches a crystal ball with an eerie glow. A whispering voice recites an ancient formula, stirring the glowing, swirling mist within the crystal to divide and gift a glimpse of the future.
"Everything is inconstant, nothing seems right. Come, vagaries of time and space, part the veil and show us what will come," the voice murmurs with the glimpse of an eye reflecting faintly in the glow on the front of its hood. The watching form, visible only in dim light, moves closer and listens attentively. "Time ebbs and flows, forming puddles and creases... but when the mist parts, very few images appear behind the veil. Shiuuu! Don't get too close, you don't want to interrupt my magical and delicate webs, do you? A The form, still leaning over the orb, whispers and chases the other deeper into the shadow: “Ah, now it seems to be getting a little lighter. I see... something... several things, murmurs of voices echoing in the mists. A baby, an event in the Hill Ruins, and the meeting of the Snot Council—what does that mean?"
With a flash, the light reflected in the eye turns red and an evil laugh echoes through the forest. Stay tuned for the return of the Evil Soothsayer!
Absolute Evil and his faithful *cough* servant, the dark elf Thalya, return in Dungeons 4 after the events that made the fabulous predecessor triumph over the forces of good once again.
He builds a comfortable and cozy dungeon to meet the needs of his creatures and govern them, then send them to the Upper World so that the good people who live there remember that it is Absolute Evil who rules their lands. Gather your Evil in new and dynamic ways and release them upon the verdant plains and forests of the Overworld to turn them to the side of evil. But don't forget to protect your dungeon well with traps and defend your creatures, as the annoying inhabitants of the Overworld will give you no peace while you turn their land into a true holiday paradise of Absolute Evil.
What is that noise? “Gold, gold, gold and gems, gold and gems and gold!” Ancient music echoes throughout the underworld, accompanied by the thuds of steel axes and hammers. The Dwarves have arrived to claim their share of the abundant resources, and, together with the elves and humans of the Overworld, they send raiding parties to find the heart of the dungeon.
Dungeons 4 maintains the spirit of the previous one, but everything is bigger, better, and with a much more dynamic Evil™.
Highlights
- There's Nothing Dwarves Can't Improve™: Dwarves arrived to build underground fortresses. And the determined comrades (despite not liking that nickname) compete with the growing evil for space and resources.
- Let's make our dungeon amazing again: The dungeons are up to four times larger than the previous ones and there are many more creatures that await the Evil Commander's orders to conquer the Overworld. Now it's time for huge armies and giant dungeons!
- Set an example: The Upper World is bigger than ever. Earn Evil by defeating mini bosses like obsessively happy unicorns and use them to transform the Overworld into biomes of pure evil.
- Brand-new: A skill-based perk system that grants Thalya, the *cough* faithful servant and most loyal subordinate of Absolute Evil, impressive new powers. Absolute Evil can now rule the world, ruling creatures and beating minions with the custom Evil Hand.
- Minions Everywhere: The horde of demons and undead wait to do the bidding of Absolute Evil, with more greedy creatures under Evil's gesturing influence, and the Snots, who play an even more important role this time.
- Many ways to tell the story: A long campaign, narrated by the beloved English narrator of previous titles, as well as several skirmishes to challenge his rule as Absolute Evil.
