Our story begins on a corner of Allraan, a diverse mosaic of nations with various cultures and values. With the strength of the sword and through magical objects known as "runic lenses," the history of the territory was shaped by alliances and the aggression of humans, beastmen, elves, and desert dwellers who live there. The Galdean Empire defeated other nations and discovered technology that amplifies the magic of runic lenses.

Now, the Empire is scouring the continent in search of an artifact that will further expand its power.

It is on one of these expeditions that Seign Kesling, a young and talented Empire officer, and Nowa, a boy from a distant village, meet and become friends.
