After a global catastrophe, what was left of human civilization spawned a new religious society in the ruins of the desolate underground. They forgot about sunlight and now recklessly follow the New God: the Great Hand. Periodically, after a few years, the Hand descends people into the Central Station and takes even the chosen newborns to a hidden world behind the experienced ones of the Sanctuary. A hero sets out on a perilous journey through this hostile world to find a way to open the experimenters and bring his son back.
