Tropico 6 - Going Viral
About
The dicta… ahm, the doctor has arrived! Stay calm citizens, the Mobile Medical Squad is on the case. Don't worry, there's nothing to see here. Go ahead and vote for El Prez — otherwise what?!
In Tropico 6's Going Viral DLC, the health and prosperity of your nation hangs in the balance as contagious diseases ravage your island paradise. As the glorious President, you are the key to controlling them through managing the masses with your diplomatic skills and some brand new means such as the Mobile Medical Platoon, Medical Checkpoint, Colossal Hospital and Healing Howitzer.
Therefore, your top priority is to find a cure and avoid a mass tropical panic at all costs — or... perhaps use it first for your own... ahem, tropical nation's well-being? At least it's worth thinking twice because as the panic rises, you'll gain more options to issue tempting decrees to control your subjects and influence the masses. However, a good President needs to keep in mind that dead citizens don't vote!
Highlights
- Find the cure with Tropico 6 – Going Viral: there are 4 different diseases plaguing Tropico and disrupting everyday life. Some can seriously harm citizens, others can be just a little cough *cough*.
- Pull the strings to maintain control in a 4-mission campaign or fight disease on a new multiplayer map.
- Keep calm... or don't! Influence the masses with the new “Scream” mechanic. The panic meter measures the feelings of Tropical citizens regarding diseases. Increased panic allows bolder decrees to be issued. Should we raise the alarm to exploit the situation with radical decrees or keep the population calm in the face of a potentially deadly threat?
- Inject first, ask questions later: a series of 16 exciting new edicts will unlock as the panic meter rises. They give different ways to exploit the disease in Tropico: inject first, ask questions later, require masks or choose equipment ready for a viral party in the palace — it's up to you, El Presidente!
- Disease management: there are 9 new buildings that will change the way we manage Tropico and deal with outbreaks and diseases. Use the Healing Hoist to quickly distribute cures to Tropicans, or build the new Colossal Hospital to increase medical capacity and place Medical Checkpoints on the streets to find infected people. Additionally, during the campaign, a curious charlatan will also help you control the disease in Ambrosius' Magic Shack.
- Fight the plague with style and new design options for El Presidente and the palace! With new accessories like the plague doctor for El Presidente or the Medical Fence for the palace, you'll be perfectly prepared.
